I left home for a gap year in China teaching English. One year turned into three, and there I learned photography on the crowded streets of Beijing. There I was invited to take part in an exhibition documenting the gentrification of ancient Beijing streets, the Hutongs, and I have pursued photography in all forms ever since. I left China in December 2017 and after nearly two years in Europe and North Africa documenting small towns and villages I lived in, upon my return to Chicago to I began studying photography at Columbia College of Chicago. My practice has evolved many times over and it will continue to do for years to come.
